The Women’s Spiritual Book Group meets on the second Wednesday from September through May in the Ladies Parlor at 7PM.
Our purpose is to build community by bringing women together to talk about books. We read non-fiction books about people’s spiritual paths and discuss how their stories relate to our own. Last year's books were: “Eat Pray Love,” “Book of Shadows,” “There If You Need Me,” “After Sorrow,” “Leaving the Saints,” “A New Kabbalah for Women,” “Dance of the Dissident Daughter,” “Unbowed” and “Circling My Mother.” There is no limit to the number of participants—all South Church women are welcome!
Our Upcoming books are:
February—Finding Beauty in a Broken World by Terry Tempest Williams
March—Traveling with Pomegranates by Sue Monk Kidd and Ann Kidd Taylor
April—An Altar in the World by Barbara Brown Taylor
May—Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout
