Save the Date! Upcoming Fundraiser Dance and Coffeehouse!

March 17th at 8PM, The Jeannie Daniels Band will be playing at the VFW in Portsmouth at 238 Deer Street so that we can have fun dancing while raising money for our church. The band plays all danceable tunes including Rock, R&B, Motown, Soul, Funk and a little bit of swing. What better way to celebrate mud season and St. Paddy’s Day than to join your friends at the South Church Fundraiser Dance! Spread the word!

April 28th at 7PM, get ready for the second South Church Coffeehouse to be held in our cozy hall downstairs. All talents are welcomed. Please email June Bernard-Kriegl at junebk@comcast.net or Gary Fagin at garyfagin@comcast.net for more information or to sign up for a slot.

You Can't Go Home Again...or Can You?

They say, “You can’t go home again.” Lucky for us, as many of you know, it’s not true when it comes to South Church. This has happened to me more than once. At the supermarket, at a coffee shop, even once at the beach. I have begun a conversation with someone, rounded our way to the subject of what I moved to the seacoast for, told them about South Church, and have them said, “Oh, yeah, that’s my church.” Or sometimes “I used to got here.”

So many of you already have found your way back home to South Church. We are so glad to have you back. I joked with one beloved returning  person that the trick was that we kept moving the building for the past few years so that it would be hard to find on Sunday morning. But for the foreseeable future we will leave her right where she stands, ready and waiting for you. Always there.

A Huge Thank you from Chris and Lauren

Hello Dear, Amazing People!

As we head out for our first vacation, we wanted to send out an enormous thank you to everyone for this last week's Bring Your Weight In Food Drive. Together we raised 7,647pounds of food! Diane Giese, Executive Director of the Seacoast Family Food Pantry said that it was by far the largest donation they have ever received. We are so grateful that so many of you gave so generously.
