Adult Spiritual Enrichment

Spiritual growth is a life-long process. We gather together to challenge and encourage one another spiritually and intellectually. We learn about our faith tradition, the world’s religions, current events and issues, leadership, the arts, and spiritual challenges of different phases of life.

Our offerings take the form of classes, workshops, forums and ongoing groups. They’re sponsored by various committees in the church, by individuals and by our ministers. The Northern New England District and the Unitarian Universalist Association also regularly sponsor classes and workshops.

Small Group Ministry

Small groups are clusters of seven to ten people who meet twice a month from October through early June to explore meaningful topics, to speak and listen well, and to deepen relationships with one another. Registration for these groups begins in mid-September. Periodically throughout the year, we offer drop-in Small Group Ministry sessions on timely subjects. These are a great way to learn about the program, yourself and other folks at South Church. For more information contact Margery Andrews at
