Hello Dear, Amazing People!
As we head out for our first vacation, we wanted to send out an enormous thank you to everyone for this last week's Bring Your Weight In Food Drive. Together we raised 7,647pounds of food! Diane Giese, Executive Director of the Seacoast Family Food Pantry said that it was by far the largest donation they have ever received. We are so grateful that so many of you gave so generously.
We knew that it was going to be good here with you all. We could tell as we got to know you over this last year, as we met the search committee and then heard more and more about you, when we finally came and met more and more of you, we knew that this was going to be a full, exciting, powerful ministry. And we were right. You all are amazing, this sweet and deep and willing and thriving and loving and creative and beautiful community of South Church is a precious and a powerful gift, and we are so grateful, so privileged to be a part of this next chapter in its long and rich history.
So thank you. Thank you for the food, thank you for the loading and unloading, thank you for this one example of the generous heart and deep commitment that courses through South Church.
