Vespers offers a quiet space from 6-6:30 on Thursday evenings in the Sanctuary. Services may include spiritual practices such as chanting, lecto divina, the arts (including poetry, dance, live and recorded music) and/or readings and silence. October is “music month” at South Church. We begin on October 2nd at 11AM in the Sanctuary with a free New Music (aka contemporary classical music) seminar followed at noon by an open Music Committee meeting. We welcome all members and friends to bring their ideas, wishes and comments. We are preparing a music questionnaire to get input from the congregation about our music program. Knitting Ministry
The Knitting Ministry invites all South Church knitters to join us "as we gather in community to share our prayer, our stories, the work of our hearts and hands..." We create the prayer shawls that the Pastoral Associates distribute as "mantles of safe haven" for those dealing with difficult times. Our gatherings are once a month after Social Hour, usually on the 2nd Sunday, in the Sanctuary. For more information contact Mical Allopenna
