Rev. Roberta Finkelstein, Minister
Roberta was born and raised a Unitarian Universalist in New York. She received her BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1977. In 1986 she received her MSN (Masters of Science in Nursing) from Georgetown University. She received her M. Div from Wesley Theological Seminary in May of 1992. She was jointly ordained by Unitarian Universalist of Arlington and Bull Run Universalist at Arlington, VA on May 10, 1992.

· Summer of 1990: Summer Minister at UU Congregation of Fairfax, VA
· 1990-1997: Bull Run Unitarian Universalist in Manassas, VA, initially as an Extension Intern and then as a Consulting Minister.
· 1990-1993 also served the UU Congregation of the Shenandoah Valley quarter-time
· 1997-2000 served as the full-time New Congregation minister at the Unitarian Universalist of Sterling, VA (UUS). In 2000, UUS voted to call her as their first settled minister, and she remained there until 2005.
· In August of 2005 she became the Interim Minister in Frederick MD.
· On August 15, 2006 she became the Settled Minister of South Church.
· On April 1, 2007, Rev. Roberta Finkelstein was installed as the Settled Minister of South Church

Personal Information:
Roberta has been married to her husband Barry since 1974. He runs his own management consulting business out of their home. Their son Danny is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. They share their home with 2 cats and a dog. Interests include reading (particularly mysteries), crossword puzzles, downhill skiing and is currently enjoying pilates. Roberta is a SERIOUS baseball fan. She and Barry enjoy live theater and music.

Director Lifespan Faith Development: Sandra Greenfield

Sandra began serving as our Director of Religious Education in August, 2002, having previously served the Unitarian Universalist Church of Manchester, New Hampshire, for four years. She holds a degree in secondary education from the University of Delaware and has worked in public education as a Special Education Assistant. She currently serves our denomination as a member of the newly-formed Safe Congregation Task Force for the NH/VT District, Convener of the North Atlantic Liberal Religious Educators Association Chapter, Convener of the Star Island Religious Education Week Governance Board, and a Renaissance Module leader for religious educators. She lives outside of Manchester with her two teenaged daughters and sings with the Portsmouth-based group Voices From The Heart. In her spare time, she serves on the Educational Materials Review Committee for Planned Parenthood and on the Fundraising Committee for NARAL Pro-Choice New Hampshire.

Organist and Lead Musician:Terrie Harman

Terrie Harman’s piano and organ music experience spans 25 years in various settings.  Classically trained with a piano performance degree from Wilson College ( Chambersburg , PA ), Terrie teaches piano and organ, and is founder of the Portsmouth Men’s Chorus.  She is a board member of the Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ ( Portland , ME ) and is certified at the Colleague level from the American Guild of Organists.  She served as chair of the Music Committee for the Centennial of the Treaty of Portsmouth celebration during the summer of 2005.

Administrator: Julie Slayton Frank

Julie became Church Administrator in July of 2004.  Her prior experience includes Events Director and Business Manager at the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce. Julie lives in Dover with her husband, Andy.  Their son Greg currently attends college in Washington , DC . Julie currently serves as Secretary to the Administrators of the Unitarian Universalist Association and as Vice-Chair of the Feminist Health Center of Portsmouth.
