Aging with Grace

Aging with Grace is South Church’s group for seniors.  This group meets on the second Thursday of each month from September-May at 10am the Portsmouth Public Library.   During the difficult weather months of December - February we will meet on ZOOM from the comfort of our own homes.  During the summer we find a pleasant outdoor location for a more casual, BYO lunch visit.

About us…We are a lively and diverse group of people who meet monthly to support and inspire each other. Newcomers of any age are welcome.  Most of us retired, or partly retired.  Many of us are active volunteers at church and other organizations; some of us are actively constructing our lives around new pursuits.

Our meeting format includes a brief check-in to share what's current in our lives. Then a topic is introduced for group discussion. This year we'll include some programs with practical tips for aging from AARP's speakers bureau. We enjoy each other's company and enjoy being able to talk about pertinent subjects that we might not be able to share elsewhere. Confidentiality is stressed. While some topics are serious, we find we spend the hour and a half laughing; the best medicine for aging!
