Social Justice Associates
The Social Justice Associates inspire South Church members to act on our faith in the larger community. We identify the social injustices, environmental degradations, and barriers to peace that would awaken the passions and actions of Church members, including our youth. We further identify the concerns of our members and help them act on these concerns through education, service, witness, and advocacy.
The Social Justice Associates coordinate outreach into the community and all aspects of the monthly Shared Plate Collection. We testify at hearings, attend rallies and public gatherings that champion social justice, environmental awareness and pathways to peace.
